My Dad

Image
Today is my Dad's Birthday. Happy Birthday DAD!!!

You have a heart full of compassion, a passion for what you do, a love for me and mine like no other, and I don't know what I would do without you.

Love you Dad!

Just some thoughts...

I am thinking I might benefit from an actual.....schedule. I am not sure if I can handle that, but I am not seeming to be able to handle things the way they are. So, here are several reasons why:
1. I can't seem to get anything fully completed.
2. I can't stand half finished jobs.
3. My children's schoolwork is suffering from the lack of organization in my day.
4. My housework, meal planning, and pocketbook is also suffering for the same reasons.

so....for the big question....do you think a schedule would help?

Sometimes I think turning the phone and the computer off until after lunch would help a ton...oops did I really just write that? Nope surely that can't be the problem...nope not at all.

Belt Testing..

Image
A few weeks ago the boys had belt testing for Taekwondo. I am please to say that they both passed, and are officially yellow belts. They are really enjoying this and it is neat to watch them be so excited about something. Now I just wish Sweet Pea would get the desire to learn too. It is difficult to keep her entertained for an hour three times a week.

Here are some pics from testing.

The boys and Sweet Pea practicing.

AJ getting ready to break his board.

TA and his board.

All of the testers and the Masters.

More Aprons...

Image
Here are the last two aprons in my Mother/Daughter birthday aprons. They are finished. I need to get all of us together to get a group photo.

This was for one of my best friends daughters.

and this was for my friend.

I promise I am working on a new pattern...the question is will I like it?

My helper..

My day started with TA saying he would make breakfast for everyone. He proceeded to fill three small cups with a mixture of bran flakes, cheerios, and oatmeal, the uncooked kind (he picked this up from his father).

TA's cereal creation

Then he asks for sausage. I quickly informed him that he was cooking breakfast and he better be prepared to make it himself...well he was thrilled. His sister was not...she wanted to do it herself.

Sweet Pea throwing a fit.

TA and AJ waiting for the water to boil.

Sweet Pea finally got over it. TA stirring his breakfast.

It is so easy for me to forget to let them help, and the sad thing is they enjoy it. At least for now. I need to take the time to show them how to do some things for themselves. It is quality time with me and independence making for them.

Aren't they peaceful?

Image
Every weekend they boys sleep together. I truly think it is the highlight of their day.

So I tiptoed in and took this picture. Aren't they angelic? I truly pray that as they grow up they will continue to loved each other and want to be with each other as they do now.

You know the other thing I like about this picture? The are not yelling, talking, tearing up something, annoying me or each other or their sister or their father. They are not making a mess. They are just perfect.

Be Careful...

this speaks volumes...especially these two lines...

"Be careful little feet where you go
For it's the little feet behind you that are sure to follow"

100 days of Thankfulness #12

Today I am thankful for having nothing on my agenda...until 5 pm.
